Many tzadikim, including Chabad Rebbes, calculated a keitz. The Gemara warns against it, since belief can weaken if Moshiach doesn’t come by that time. But when it arouses yearning for Geula, it’s praise-worthy. Not dates, desire.
A keitz isn’t prediction, it’s connection. It turns waiting into longing and strengthens emunah. Yearning for Moshiach is holy work, especially when Geula feels far.
Self-reflection:
What action will my longing for Geula lead to today?
