A Midrash teaches: when Hashem sees the Jewish people actively anticipating and expecting His kingship, He redeems them immediately. Our anticipation is itself the proof that we’re ready to be redeemed.

And it’s not just preparation — it’s also a merit. A great Torah sage called the Chida teaches something incredible: even if our only merit is our yearning for Geula, that alone is big enough to bring Moshiach.

The Chafetz Chaim (another great Torah sage) adds that we need to demand Moshiach the way a worker demands the wages he’s owed — with confidence and persistence, because we’ve earned it through generations of Torah and mitzvos.

Hashem wants to bring the Geula through our efforts. When we yearn, we’re not just hoping — we’re actively doing something to bring it closer.
