You think you’re just washing for bread.
You’re actually doing way more than that.
You’re rehearsing for the Beis Hamikdash.
One day soon Kohanim will need this purity for terumah again.
The Alter Rebbe in Orach Chayim 158:1 says that’s why we were all given this washing.
Every wash is our way of saying we’re waiting for Moshiach.
Try it: Next time you wash, don’t rush it. Just think — this is practice for the third Beis Hamikdash, may it be right now.
